The purpose of the project

The public service department was looking to obtain greater value from the procurement activities through improved purchasing efficiencies and savings from utilising economies of scale, rationalisation and aggregation of spend. This initiative and overall programme formed part of the plan to deliver common back-office processes, sharing information across departments, using common IT platforms and assuring compliance objectives previously highlighted in key organisational assessment reports. 

What we did

The requirement was to deliver a modern e-enabled web-based system that was straightforward to use for requisitioners, with integrated workflow processes and embedded controls that would help to drive purchasing behaviours and compliance.  

The outcome

This project was completed on time and on budget.
